Sigh. I'm certain I screwed up my econometrics mid-term test today. There were 5questions, and I didnt know how to do 2questions (which make up half the total marks). I'm not confident of my answers for the other 3questions either. It's a miracle if I pass this paper..I hope the bell curve will be very slanted to the left. The other people I talked to seem to have difficulty doing qn2 and qn3 too. I wonder how low a marks I'm gonna get. I cant do the proving! My summation AP GP in JC is already weak..it's worse now that they ask me to prove those chim chim terms. Urgh. Kept doing the practice questions but guess they weren't really useful at all. Or I'd focused on the wrong part. ):Next mid-term test next Wednesday. Financial economics. Let's hope the equations and problems involved in this module wont be so tough this time round. Can I please get an A for my econs mod please? My best has only been a B+. Sobs.On a positive note, I got back my malay test yesterday. Not a fantastic result, considering that it was an easy paper, but comforting enough. I think alot of people did very well too. Abang and kakak, not emak. Friday = Jumaat, not Jamaat. Haiyaa. Such mistakes shouldnt be made. It's really not easy to pick up a new language when you're an adult. It feels more complicated. Been sick since 2weeks back but I only went UHC on Monday. =x The doc says there may be some bacterial infection and gave me antibiotics. Haiyoo. Taking medicine is so troublesome. I need to take my antibiotics thrice a day, every 8h, and 30mins before meal. So my meals are very screwed up now. I have manymany small meals in between. If I take my breakfast at 8am, I can only have my next meal at 4pm (8h later) but I'd get hungry at noon so I am eating alot of meals these days. I'm trying to control the amount I eat, because I have to eat so many times a day! I feel myself getting fat. The expectorant I'm given isn't nice at all. It's in syrup form and it's tastes weird. I dont like to medicine. I dont want to be sick! My legs are itching to exercise. I want to go and run. I went for handball on Mon night and felt worse the next day so I reckon I should rest more. =x Haiyaa. That and I need more sleep. Recess week is just over, but I have hardly rested enough.
Jiayou Joycelyn! God will give you the energy. (:

Sat was xiangfeng's 21st birthday party and it was held at changi seafront chalet. It's my first visit to the aloha chalet and it's so much bigger than those coasta sands resorts! Whenever the unglams meet up, we always seem to have some unglam moments! All of us were chilling inside one of the chalet room and then xf came in and wanted to take a group picture with us. We all sat on the bed, ready to take the photo when the bed suddenly collapsed after wynee climbed onto the bed. We were all so shocked! -.- How can the bed be incapable of supporting the weight of 5females! Lousy bed! Haha. The picture got captured on the camera...
I'm hooked onto a new sports now: handball! The journey started with ifg handball trials. Initially, the trainings didnt make me particularly interested. I was playing handball because I wanted to play in ifg. However, as I played games against the different faculties, I fell in love with the sport. I love the adrenaline rush of the game. Mostly, I played the keeper, and only got to play outfield in the last ifg match, but it's really fun! Initially when I first started out as the keeper, I wasn't confident of being able to keep out balls. But as I had more playing time, I think I was able to block out more shots. My record was conceding only one goal for one half of the game. (: And I kept the entire game in the match against engin, letting in only 6goals in total. Hee. It's like a steep learning curve for those of us who just picked up the sport this ifg. And it's not just the game that's fun, I liked the company too. I've made so many new friends in handball this period! Sabrina, Lydia, Xiu Dian, Ulrica, Wenqi, Elaine, Judith, Seet, Grace, Ain, Jeanette, Vanessa. And some of them are gonna try playing for ifg cp too. (: Anyway, most of the arts ifg players are actually ivp players (now why aint ivp handball players banned! sobs.) so we didnt have a problem winning all our games in the first stage. We lost to science in the semis though, and came in 3rd. Bleh. They had a very strong exchange player who had played handball for 14years and scored most of the goals during the semis. Nevermind, what's important is that i've learnt to play a new sport this period and i've made many new friends. (: I'm gonna join handball recrea! Wheee.Anyway, national championship is over now. NUS ladies came in 4th. Sigh. We lost to ntu. They were very onform on the last weekend, and climbed their way up to become champions. SP was 2nd and NP 3rd. NTU guys are the champions too. For once, the SP dominance has been broken. No 10years of consecutive champions for them. I believe they'd have been even more arrogant if they had gotten the championship. Earlier in the guys playoff, SP had lost to SIM, after one of their players got yellow carded and SIM managed to score a goal in the last few minutes of the game. As for my own team, we definitely could have played better. I think we played afew good matches, one of which was the SIM vs NUS ivp match. That crucial match would decide if we would be 4th after the first round playoff. First half over, we were 1 down. Kq scored a goal in the second half, and instantly, our morale was lifted high. We believed we could win the match. Then came a fastbreak opportunity and I was the one who was fastbreaking. The goalkeeper was nearing the goalpost already and one of the sim players was sitting on my stern. My boat was probably more than 6m away from the goalpost. At the time, lizard's words went through my mind. "You must be confident of yourself, Joycelyn. You have the range." With that in mind, I released the shot from where I was, and because of God's grace, my shot went in. We were leading so we were really happy and defended hard to win SIM. (: I felt we fought hard against teambombbomb too. It was just unfortunate that because of the referree's bad call, we lost the game. Bombbomb lost possession of the ball and short got the opportunity to fastbreak. She put in a very nice goal, after faking one of the bombbomb players. However, the ref stopped the game, checked with the linesman, and ruled out the goal. It was deemed that before the changeover, the ball was out and possession should belong to bombbomb. That's absolutely not true, because it was the bombbomb player that was last in contact of the ball before it went out. Nvm. Having ruled out the goal, instead of starting the ball at the corner, he allowed the game to be played on, at half pool. And bombbomb scored because of that. It's just so unfair, when we've fought so hard to draw the game and even manage to score a goal. In the end, we lost 1-0. ): Post-com dinner at at Pepes, this particular Indonesia restaurant at taka. Liked the food and ambiance there. (: It's probably the last gathering for blizzards. So much has happened since the post-com dinner, and before that too. There are just so few seniors left in the team now. I just hope we can have a full team for next year's ivp.
I'm an auntie now! =x At 21! Zomg. At least i'm a young and pretty auntie. Hehehe. My cousin's wife gave birth to a baby boy, Jorius. And they had the one month old baby celebration at indoor stadium's jumbo seafood restaurant. It was a buffet! Chilli crabs and butter prawns! Yummmy. Actually all the food there was fantastic. :D
Went for coey's 1st birthday at downtown east chalet this period too. (: The princess is so cute! Kids nowadays are really fortunate! They have so much attention thrown on them. I doubt she'll remember her first birthday, but at least she knows how she looks like when she was 1!
Yays. Went to watch YOG swimming at Singapore sports school with Eunice! (: Great swimming action! We saw the china team get disqualified in the medley because one of them started too early. They actually had a good lead but it was Australia that got the gold medal in the end. Aiya. A pity I didnt know much about handball during the yog period or I'd have watched handball too! I heard from Sab the finals were really exciting! Oh wells. I'll go watch the sunig's handball matches!
