Crater gathering today! :)

9 people-liwen, shirlyn, serene, gauri, kailing, joleen, jocelyn, charmain and I turned up for the dinner. Organiser jieying was sick! :( Get well soon okie? The official meeting time was 6.30pm, but we only settled down for dinner at cafe cartel an hour later, at 7.30pm. There was a little waiting here and there for squadmates to arrive. Dinner at cafe cartel was great! Catching up with one another, reminiscing about the old days, crapping about silly stuff...

At cafe cartel, we were given a 15% discount off our total bill. The story behind: Most of us were done with our meals, and yet, serene's meal was not served yet. It was when the waitress had collected our dishes that her meal was served. Partially because we were unhappy with the service they provided and partially (this contributes to a large extent) because we wanted to get something more, we complained about the service to the waitress who served us. The manager attended to us then and explained to us the situation. Turns out that there had been a mix up in the kitchen about the dishes. Serene's dish had already been prepared, twice in fact, but it was served to other tables. There had been some miscommunication. Though we understood the situation,we still wanted some form of compensation. SO. The manager offered us 15% off and even gave us ice-cream! The ice-cream came us a surprise to us..we weren't expecting it.

After dinner, it was already getting late so most of us went home..

There's a crater fund now! It has got a start up fund of $1.80.

Picture taken in front of the christmas tree at marina square! Before that, we stood around for a while talking and laughing about the cheer dance we did..it's hard to imgaine np people doing a dance, but that's what crater did.

And we decided to take another picture in front of the wheel! =)

ODAC chalet starting from yesterday! It's a 3D2N chalet, but I only went yesterday, which was also the bbq night. Some of us met up at noon to purchase items for the bbq which we've yet to get, had lunch together and then checked into the chalet.

It's my first time at costa sands-pasir ris chalet! Relative to the chalet located at downtown east, it's bigger. BUT, the floor is very dirty! I would prefer the bbq pit at downeast too.

Since it was too early to start the bbq, we proceeded to decorate the chalet to provide it with a christmas atmosphere. The logistics-courtesy of meiying. It was quite fun decorating up the place. Funny too, when meiying and I ended up being 'fashion designers' for yeehan. Later on, we played card games till the seniors started to arrive..and we started the fire.

poke poke poke. Since we didn't rent their bbq pit but used our own, we had to make sure that our bbq 'pit' was airy enough. It was made of aluminium trays and needed holes for air to flow..The fire going, we started to bbq the food. By then, alot of seniors had arrived and the place started to get noisy and crowded. BBQ-ing makes your shirt smell! Plus plus your hair! Even after I'd washed it once, I could still smell it in my hair. NOPE. I'm not gu niang! >.<

At around 10, all of us gathered together and we had our gift exchange session. I got a box of chocolates! Nice. After the gift exchange, seniors started to leave, except for a few of them, who stayed back to play cards. Stacy and I left together at around 2330h..her dad fetched me home. Thanks stacy!

8 days to christmas! A christmas of love.

I went orchard again with yt to shop for christmas gifts today..it's great to go shopping! BUT, I don't like thinking of gifts to buy, especially so when you have a budget. :( However, I must say that the shopping trip was fruitful today. We managed to buy the gifts within our budget. And I bought practical gifts! They're all very useful! Plus cheap. The odac gift was bought for exactly $5. :) All in all, I bought 4 gifts for less than $30, within my budget! hee.

I shall upload some pics which meiying sent me!

2006 will be coming to an end soon. Have you accomplished what you wanted? Have you met your targets and goals? Have you done more than what you wanted to do? Have you had a fruitful year? Have you learn alot of things? Have your resolutions been successful?

A large portion of my holidays has been spent on ODAC activities, BUT I'm not complaining! I enjoyed all the time we spent together! :)

I went kayaking on thurs and fri! Some of my classmates had their 1 star course. Meiying and I went and attached ourselves to the 1 star kayaking course, in yeehan's and kevin's group. The course has been an eye-opener for me..the trainers' skills are zai! Someday, I want my skills to reach a competent level too. And yes, teaching a batch of people whom you don't know isn't an easy job. On a less serious note, the trainers are crappy people!

Before that, ODACians participated in Adjam 06. We were splitted into 10 different groups..kenneth happend to be in my group, STR (which means strawberry rum, my group leader's msn address). We started off at SIM, played some mind games such as photo hunt there, and then went around town area. We travelled from victoria concert hall to mind cafe to fort canning park to tanjong pagar to chinatown to maxwell food centre. At each station, we had to complete something. I don't like the game we played at victoria concert hall! We played some kiddy games and it was tough! Took our group around 30 minutes to complete it. After the town games, we went to labordor park, played combat skirmish (super fun! I wanna play it all over again!) and had dinner. Then it was up to us to keep ourselves awake while we waited to go to sentosa at midnight. At sentosa, we went around from siloso beach to soccer field to merlion to dragon trail to tanjong beach..played games at each station as well. Shalln't go too much into the details. Perhaps it's my group size (we only had 9 people), but I think our group got along quite well and were enthusiastic. =) All of us gathered at the bus station near siloso beach at the end and prizes were given out..thanks groupmates for that enjoyable day and night spent.

Swamp expedition. CSSC --> Chek Jawa --> Noordin beach --> Sungei Besar --> Sungei Jelutonh --> P.Ubin jetty --> CSSC. That was fun as well, though we got lost in the swamp many many times!

Stong expedition. We broke the rain spell! Surprisingly, we had good weather during the expedition. Again, this expedition had many firsts, such as caving and sitting on a train! And as usual, we played bridge whenever we were free. It was a fun trip indeed. Meeting up at tanjong pagar train station, sitting on the train, playing bridge, running with our backpacks to board the train, trekking up to the base camp, playing at the waterfall, digging toilet, climbing about the rocks, bathing in a hostel, staying up for almost the whole night, lunch at woodlands, cleaning the logistics back in school, debrief for nearly 3hours...

Standard chartered race. My first time running such races. Ran and completed 10km-an accomplishment.

Asean Scholar Orientation. Another first of me, interacting with so many juniors scholars, who are super smart! And they have a sense of peseverance.

Sea expedition. CCSC --> Chek Jawa --> Tajam --> P.Seletar --> Sembawang park --> BBQ in the shade --> Slept outside a restaurant in a sheltered tent --> P. Selatar --> Coney Island --> Pasir Ris Park --> Loyang beach --> CSSC. That was my first overnight sea expedition, plus kayaking in the rain!

Level 2 climbing course. Learnt how to do lead climbing...it's tiring having to hang runners as you go up. Requires more arm power.

Been there, done that. Next up, completion of homework. I wanna finish up everything! I can and I shall. Yupp. Got to start revising everything all over again now and prepare to study again.

I shall update on the ODAC activities after adjam! :)

The day started off great. I met up with yt in the morning and went for service. Initially, I was supposed to meet shawn to pass something but then I overslept! Opps. =X I had to postpone the meeting to after service. So after sunday service ended, we went down to taka to meet shawn. Then we shopped around orchard looking at shoes, earrings, tops, skirts, shorts...I bought 2 new tops! yays. Happy ger! =) A fruitful shopping trip.Somehow, I got high after dinner! Starting crapping around and doing lame things. I don't know why.

It would have been a great day today had it not been for what happened online. Perhaps I had been too sensitive. But in my opinion, there wasn't anything funny to joke about for that. Reading what you typed out was hurting. *claps* You have indeed succeeded in making me cry, chia yeehan.

She didn't msg me but instead ps me for someone better. I'm not worth her time and she doesn't love me at all. In fact, I'M NOT WORTH 5 CENTS to her. I gather that you're implying I'm a WORTHLESS PERSON and that selina hates me.

For your info, I have absolute faith that selina loves me. If you must know, selina wasn't feeling well and hence didn't reply me.
