Whee. Countdown to the new year was spent with charmaine, yeehan, charles, kevin, james and eugene at double o. Daron and fren joined us later too. I had fun there! We were early so we played games until countdown before dancing the night away...5/10 game plus big fish small fish gigantic fish! James is super pro at the games! I kept losing. =x And as countdown neared, it got even more crowded and warm in there. After countdown some of us went to the dancing ground and level 1 to dance. Thanks to yeehan, charles and kevin for making us girls feel protected there!!
The last day of 2008 and first day of 2009 was spent at Marina Barrage. There was free kayaking try-outs so I went down to help, together with eugene, ryan, teck koon, willie, jj, darren teng, jun song, meiying...response was good as opposed to the opening ceremony. I was doing safety briefing for both days and at each slot, there never failed to have like minimum 6 people.
30 dec was spent paddling at kallang with siti, yurong, marcus, rongjie and shamm. The 25th comm are having their 3 star course there. Mr ong and Sung Sheng having their assessment! Richard and Mt are the assessors. It was special training from mt that day!!! Whoa. Learnt loads from him! My edging sucks. Bleah. I need more training! After rolling and rolling and rolling at kallang, siti and I went to nus for training. I felt weird training that day because the others are preparing for the upcoming 3-on-3 competition but me. Sians. Nvm. After 11jan training will be back to normal again. I hope.
29 dec was spent at home! Packing up my room. I went IKEA and bought a new bookshelf! Then I had to carry the 20kg load home via public transport! Sobs sobs. So heavy!
28 dec and 27 dec was spent at changi! 4 star selection cum training on Sunday with Lance, Lai Mun and Wilson. At the moment there's 8 people! Meiying, Siti, Yurong, Marcus, Tak, 2 other guys plus me. And it was a fruitful session!! Siti and I went for cp x'mas party after that. The theme was fashion disaster...apparently, my outfit didn't fit that theme so I had to do a forfeit. Bleah! It was pretty late after that but I met up with ari and yt to chill. I forgot thatTimbre closed at 1am. Sigh. We didn't enjoy ourselves cos we only stayed for a short time. But we ended up chatting at some random bus stop. Saturday was the sea kayak orientation and 8 of us had the opportunity to use the sea kayaks! Super dirty they were, since they had not been used for many many months. We had to wash them before using them. Quite an interesting SKOP it was. I had the opportunity to do sand roll, with the helmet on, got forced to learn left hand roll quickly (though it's still not as good) and got pinned. Whee. I'm looking forward to 4 star!
26dec was spent sleeping. The entire day. I slept from 3am to 6.30pm. Pro right. I didn't even wake up until my astonished mom came home from work and woke me. I was just too tired!!! Didn't sleep more than 8h the past 2 days! Went for barny's 21st birthday celebration that night! Thankfully it was very near my house so I didn't' need to travel that far. It was a b'dae celebration cum sheriff gathering.
Last day of work was 25dec. I worked till 4pm, then went to wilson's house for mahjong with meiying and ss! I won! $4.10. Haha. We took a super long time to finish 1 round though. Like 4 hours?! So it was near 10pm when we ended. I went to xiao wei's house for Xmas party after that..not much food left then! Me cabbing there and back home that night cost more than my mahjong winnings!
24dec was a hectic day of work! There was significantly lesser orders as opposed to 2007 but it was still messy. Time passed by in a flash though. After work I went to charmaine's workplace and met up with ss, charles, eugene and my! Listened to the live band there and just chilled.
Other dec activities included KTV, trainers' night, 27/06 gathering and ODAC gathering!!! Fun fun and more fun. We went cha cha cha for our ODAC dinner, which is located at holland v. My first time trying mexican food! I haven't seen that many odacians for so many months! Trainers' night was held at Hyatt hotel with a back-to-school theme. Many trainers went for KTV at $10 club too!!! :)
I conclude, that this holidays had been really enjoyable. =D But there's not alot of pictures because it's takes too long to upload them! They're all in fb though.
