9 people-liwen, shirlyn, serene, gauri, kailing, joleen, jocelyn, charmain and I turned up for the dinner. Organiser jieying was sick! :( Get well soon okie? The official meeting time was 6.30pm, but we only settled down for dinner at cafe cartel an hour later, at 7.30pm. There was a little waiting here and there for squadmates to arrive. Dinner at cafe cartel was great! Catching up with one another, reminiscing about the old days, crapping about silly stuff...
At cafe cartel, we were given a 15% discount off our total bill. The story behind: Most of us were done with our meals, and yet, serene's meal was not served yet. It was when the waitress had collected our dishes that her meal was served. Partially because we were unhappy with the service they provided and partially (this contributes to a large extent) because we wanted to get something more, we complained about the service to the waitress who served us. The manager attended to us then and explained to us the situation. Turns out that there had been a mix up in the kitchen about the dishes. Serene's dish had already been prepared, twice in fact, but it was served to other tables. There had been some miscommunication. Though we understood the situation,we still wanted some form of compensation. SO. The manager offered us 15% off and even gave us ice-cream! The ice-cream came us a surprise to us..we weren't expecting it.
After dinner, it was already getting late so most of us went home..
There's a crater fund now! It has got a start up fund of $1.80.

And we decided to take another picture in front of the wheel! =)ODAC chalet starting from yesterday! It's a 3D2N chalet, but I only went yesterday, which was also the bbq night. Some of us met up at noon to purchase items for the bbq which we've yet to get, had lunch together and then checked into the chalet.It's my first time at costa sands-pasir ris chalet! Relative to the chalet located at downtown east, it's bigger. BUT, the floor is very dirty! I would prefer the bbq pit at downeast too. Since it was too early to start the bbq, we proceeded to decorate the chalet to provide it with a christmas atmosphere. The logistics-courtesy of meiying. It was quite fun decorating up the place. Funny too, when meiying and I ended up being 'fashion designers' for yeehan. Later on, we played card games till the seniors started to arrive..and we started the fire.poke poke poke. Since we didn't rent their bbq pit but used our own, we had to make sure that our bbq 'pit' was airy enough. It was made of aluminium trays and needed holes for air to flow..The fire going, we started to bbq the food. By then, alot of seniors had arrived and the place started to get noisy and crowded. BBQ-ing makes your shirt smell! Plus plus your hair! Even after I'd washed it once, I could still smell it in my hair. NOPE. I'm not gu niang! >.<At around 10, all of us gathered together and we had our gift exchange session. I got a box of chocolates! Nice. After the gift exchange, seniors started to leave, except for a few of them, who stayed back to play cards. Stacy and I left together at around 2330h..her dad fetched me home. Thanks stacy!
