I came across these scriptures druing service today. It happened to be on the same page as the scripture for today's serivce message and I found it specially reflective. After reading the scripture, I started thinking about the relationship with my brother. Deep down in my heart, despite of all the stuff which my brother has done to me, I know that after a while, I will always forgive him. I do want to win my brother over, but sadly, I just lack the skills to do so.A Brother Who Sins Against YouIf your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would pagan or a tax collector. -mat 18:15-17The Parable of the Unmerciful ServantThen Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"Jesus answered," I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times."..."This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart." -mat: 18:21-22, 35
